To celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month, the Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) club and Fitchburg State Choirs collaborated to host a Queer Arts Showcase in the Ellis White Lecture Hall. Artists of any kind were welcome to participate, including but not limited to musicians, visual artists, filmmakers, poets, and actors.

Students in Communications Media Professor Robert Harris' Intro to Film and Video class learn to load and use a 16mm film camera. Intro to Film & Video is the introductory course in the Film & Video sequence where students are exposed to the basics of production and post-production for both digital and photochemical media. Topics include understanding and using visual language, camera operation, understanding the film and video production process, basic editing, production crew structure and interpersonal communication. Last week, the morning of our Homecoming Pep Rally, President Hodge visited English Studies Professor Heather Urbanski's Foundations of Professional Writing course for a Q&A with students. As President Hodge holds a Ph.D. in Rhetoric, Master's degrees in English and Women's Studies, she is uniquely qualified to address students questions and share how she and her executive cabinet handle communications at the university.
