School of Graduate, Online and Continuing Education Assistant Dean of Enrollment Peter August, who is also a poet and published author. is teaching Appreciating Poetry at our Adult Learning in the Fitchburg Area (ALFA) center. 

Yesterday afternoon, the Career Services and Advising Center held an  Exploration Fair in the Hammond Main Lounge.  Fitchburg State University's School of Graduate, Online and Continuing Education (SGOCE) along with local university's graduate school programs, provided this as opportunity for schools to meet the talented students at Fitchburg State University, and connect with potential graduate students. This was an opportunity for our students to learn about graduate school programs, and receive information about the application process.

surprised Assistant Dean of Enrollment Peter August for his birthday with a Dress Like Petr Day! Staff donned beards, suspenders, and bracelets to copy Peter's distinctive look. The also carried the ever-present mug of tea and a book to pay tribute to the published author.
