Educators in our  Center for Professional Studies'  Advanced Placement Studio Art Summer Institute work on projects as part of their intensive, week-long session. 

Innovation in the classroom starts with empowering our educators. Through our  Center for Professional Studies' Advanced Placement Summer Institutes (APSI), new and veteran AP Studio Art teachers gather for an intensive, week-long session. Participants explored 3D Art and Design, 2D Art and Design, Drawing, and portfolio preparation to better equip their students for success. By blending curriculum development with hands-on studio sessions, these artist-teachers will create valuable new coursework. 

 Students at our at our Adult Learning in the Fitchburg Area (ALFA) center are drawing a rose in yesterday's Beginner's Botanical Illustration class at our Center for Professional Studies.

Students at our at our Adult Learning in the Fitchburg Area (ALFA) center are learning to render textures in their Not Your Kids Colored Pencils course.

School of Graduate, Online and Continuing Education Assistant Dean of Enrollment Peter August, who is also a poet and published author. is teaching Appreciating Poetry at our Adult Learning in the Fitchburg Area (ALFA) center. 

Fitchburg State University Center for Professional Studies' Advanced Placement Summer Institutes (APSI)  AP Studio Art Summer Institute for new and experienced teachers of AP explore the 3D Art and Design, 2D Art and Design and Drawing portfolios. Studio sessions facilitate the creation of valuable curricula through corresponding art making. Artist-Teachers discussed their projects and inspiration at the end of the week-long session.

The Fitchburg State University Center for Professional Studies' Advanced Placement Summer Institutes (APSI) first week is in full swing. In the AP Biology track, High School Teachers are conducting a week full of experiments to bring back to their classrooms. The APSI are designed to support all aspects of AP courses, including AP methodology, curriculum, class assignments and examinations as well as providing strategies for teaching AP courses. This experiment involved pill bugs.
