Fitchburg State University Police Program 7th Recruit Officer Course (ROC) - Physical Training, Day 1

Today was the first day of Physical Training (PT) for the 7th  Fitchburg State University Police Program's Recruit Officer Course (ROC). Lead PT instructor Eric Bailey introduced the class to the first phase of PT, along with PT instructor Dr. Jess Alsup of our Exercise Sports Science Program (EXSS). We would like to thank State Representative Mike Kushmerek for coming out this morning to meet and work out with the 7th. Dean Sara Levine also stopped by the field to show support.

Day one of the Fitchburg State University Police Program's Recruit Officer Course (ROC) is underway as of this morning. Police Program Academy Director Ola Wysocki,  Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC) Training Officers, Fitchburg State University Police Chief Michael Cloutier,  State Representative Mike Kushmerek, and University President Dr. Richard Lapidus were on hand to welcome our newest Recruit Officers.

Study Abroad Students Honored

This afternoon, our Office of International Education honored students who've come to Fitchburg State University from abroad, as well as Fitchburg State University students who took advantage of our Study Abroad Program. Students were honored for, and shared their life changing experiences and received medals to wear during tomorrow's  Undergraduate Commencement ceremony. Faculty and staff, who volunteered for the Study Abroad Program were also acknowledged for their contributions.

128th Commencement Exercises - Graduate Ceremony

Fitchburg State celebrated its 128th commencement exercises, graduate ceremony, on Thursday, May 16, 2024. The ceremony includes remarks from President Richard S. Lapidus as well as a speech by Master of Science in computer science recipient Ali Raza, the Spring 2024 recipient of the Graduate Student Leadership Award. Student Success - Summer Bridge Program

Joshua, who has been working with the staff at  Fitchburg Access Television's (FATV) this semester to produce a news program with fellow student Zoe Chrisostomides called North Central News remembers his experience as key to his attending Fitchburg State.

End of Spring Semester 2024 - Student Life

Part of the college experience is getting involved. We encourage our students to take advantage of the opportunities offered outside the classroom, whether you join a club, attend events, volunteer, or seek employment.

There are currently about 75+ active clubs and organizations on campus. They range from large, general organizations like the Student Government Association (SGA) and Fitchburg Activities Board (FAB), to smaller, more niche organizations like Quidditch club or Exercise and Sports Science club. Starting a new club is also always an option. Gymnastics club and the Ice Hockey club were both recently created in the past year.
