Students in Engineering Technology Professor Wayne Whitfield's Engineering Design & Fabrication II course continue working on their projects. This course studies mass production theory, systems and procedures in woodworking and residential construction, includes engineering design and leads to prototype development.

This afternoon, the Career Services and Advising Center and the Engineering Technology Department held a Lunch & Learn Engineering Technology Employer Roundtable event. Representatives from Bemis Associates, Consigli Construction, and The Massachusetts Department of Transportation were on hand to network with students in Conlon Hall. Networking events serve as an excellent opportunity for our students to connect with potential employers, learn about different career paths, and gain valuable insights into the current job market.

Our Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) student club won fourth place at the MIT IEEE MicroMouse (Robot) competition on Saturday and presented a poster for the MIT IEEE Undergraduate Research Technology Conference.

The Industrial Arts Alumni through Engineering Technology Alumni gathered for a reunion today on campus. The festivities began with a Classic/Antique Car Show on Highland Ave. followed by  campus tours, and then a luncheon & reunion in the Falcon Hub. A special treat was the display of tools from the Walter Harrod Collection.

This past semester the Engineering Technology department held a "Visionaries in Engineering and Technology: Speaker Series. One speaker from this semester was, Mr. John Carroll, founder and CEO of Moss Hollow Solar, LLC. He spoke to our students and faculty on the topic of "Building a Sustainable Career in the Renewable Energy Industry: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know but Were Afraid to Ask!"

This afternoon, the university's Career Services and Advising Center sponsored an Engineering Technology career fair in the Hammond Main Lounge. The program was open to all students in all majors, with a focus on positions in architecture; construction management; electronics engineering technology; energy management engineering technology; manufacturing engineering technology; technology/engineering education 5-12 licensure; and technology/engineering education industry training.

Students in Professor Hong Yu's Micro Embedded Systems course learn  the basic elements of microprocessors & microcontrollers embedded systems.
