Division of Student Affairs' Academic Year Kickoff Meeting

At this afternoon's Division of  Student Affairs ' Academic Year Kickoff meeting led by  Dean of Students Tim St. John,  Fitchburg State University Police Department (UPD) Chief Michael Cloutier shared that "True campus safety isn't just about enforcing rules—it's about supporting our community during their most vulnerable moments" before honoring two campus partners whose dedication embodies service to others on behalf of UPD.

Summer Orientation Sessions - Academic Advising

During Fitchburg State University's Summer Orientation sessions, incoming students connect directly with Academic Advisors within their prospective majors. This proactive advising model is designed to facilitate a seamless transition into higher education. By meeting with department experts early, our newest Falcons gain a clear understanding of their unique degree pathways, map out critical foundational benchmarks, and finalize their Fall course schedules with confidence. New Student Matriculation Ceremony

Professor, Dr. Sean Goodlett welcomed our faculty, staff, current and new students to the New Student Matriculation Ceremony this morning in Weston Auditorium. Dr. Patricia Marshall, Provost and Executive Vice President convened the ceremony with Taylor Crout performing the National Anthem. Tim St. John, Dean of Students and Chief Student Affairs Officer introduced our Keynote Speaker Stephany Infante, City Councilor District E for the City of Lawrence Fitchburg State University Graduate, Class of 2016 who addressed the newest students. After the signing of the Class Book, Dr. Donna Hodge, 12th President of Fitchburg State University, led our newest falcons in the Future Falcon Pledge.
