Our Office of Student Development Student Orientation Leaders, who are on campus preparing for orientation sessions for our newest Falcons, The Class of 2027, gathered in front of Hammond Hall for a tour of Fitchburg, MA this afternoon with Associate Director of Student Development, Commuter and Volunteer Affairs Shane Franzen acting as Tour Guide. The trip included many points of interest including the Fitchburg Abolitionist Park, Fitchburg Art Museum, Cogshall Park, and Rollstone Hill Quarries. Other points of interest like shopping, restaurants, and local landmarks were pointed out during the drive. The tour was capped of with ice cream at Country Pizza.

Yesterday, the last day of classes, the Office of Student Development set up a grill and gave away hot dogs to mark the day. Not to be outdone, Counseling Services offered ice cream sundaes, and the Office of Alumni and Development offered Add -Your-own -Flavors Lemonade.

Yesterday afternoon the Office of Student Development hosted a Commuter Appreciation Event all over the Hammond Building. Students were treated to free swag including FAB (Fitchburg Activity Board) gear, Joey's Cannoli, Personalized Air Fresheners, a Photo Booth with Darth Vader, R2D2, C3PO, Chewbacca, Photo Keychains, Air Plants, and Alpacas!

This afternoon, senior nursing students and their faculty held a unconventional way of studying for the NCLEX exam, The exam developed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)to test the competency of nursing school graduates in the U.S. and Canada. This Family Feud style battle was played by teams named The Lifesavers, Cold Breakroom Pizza, Tele-tubies, Kiss Our Assessments, Pickle Party, and the Avengers. Not to be outdone, the nursing faculty had their own team, The Roasted Nightingales - RNs, get it. First up, Cold Breakroom Pizza vs. Tele-tubies.
