Fall Game Jam!

The conclusion of the Game Design program's annual Fall Game Jam took place Friday afternoon in the Conlon Game Labs. Game Design students, who worked in small teams to make games that addressed the theme of  "Day in Night", got together in the game labs, along with faculty, to celebrate their hard work and play their, and each others' games.

Students compete in College Fed Challenge

Fitchburg State University this year joined the College Fed Challenge, a national competition wherein teams of undergraduate students from across the country analyze economic and financial conditions and develop monetary policy recommendations. Their proposals are then offered in formal presentations to teams of judges.

Fitchburg Activities Board (FAB)- Build-A-Wizard-Bear!

LGBTQ+ Flag Presentation and Fitchburg State Choir - LGBTQ+ History Month

Commuter and Volunteer Affairs and Advisor, Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) welcomed attendees to the second annual LGBTQ+ Flag Presentation in the Falcon Hub in honor of LGBTQ+ History MonthDr. Jonathan Harvey and the Fitchburg State Choir opened the ceremony with “I am a Voice that Sings” and closed with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

Multi-Camera Television Production at Fitchburg Access Television (FATV)

Students in Professor Kevin McCarthy's Multi-Camera Television Production course spent this morning's class at Fitchburg Access Television (FATV) and got to see what it's like to produce a talk show.  Fitchburg Access Television (FATV) Production Assistant Jarrod Roberts was on hand to help out. Students switched between various roles including control room operations (teleprompters, broadcast switchers, digital audio boards and lighting control panels), and studio roles (floor direction, camera operation, studio lighting, studio sound techniques).
