After a brief introduction by Dr. Catherine Canney, Interim Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs, both Dr. Margaret "Meg" Hoey, Dean of Health and Natural Sciences and Associate Dean for Student Development Dr. Hank Parkinson gave updates to those in attendance.

Women's HERstory Month: 12 Women Who Impacted Fitchburg State

Our Women's HERstory Month kicked off this afternoon with an Opening Reception in the G lobby of Hammond Hall where the names of the 12 Women Who Impacted Fitchburg State through the years were unveiled. There was a special performance by the Fitchburg State Choir, led by Jonathan Harvey, DMA. The 12 Women who were recognized at this event were, Alice Palmer, Amelia Gallucci Cirio ‘38, Beverly Farias ‘52, Class of 1897, Gertrude E. Bradt, Helen Ross Russell, Jeanne Antonucci ‘73, ‘78, Jennifer Flanagan ‘04, Michele Zide, Ruth Jefts 1897, Susan Wadsworth, and the ToKalon Society. Around Campus - Commuter "Drive" Through

An all day event sponsored by Career Services and Commuter Affairs, the first 100 Commuters to receive a gift. In addition, ASCEND Get Lifted will be selling crystals and more by the Information Desk. Later today, there will be Tarot Card Readings, DIY Spirit Jars, and Aura Readings in the Falcon Hub on Street Level of the Hammond Building.

Around Campus - Staff Appreciation

President Lapidus joined staff this morning at the North Street Bistro for the first of four Staff Appreciation events, also held simultaneously at the McKay Café. Staff were treated to a beverage, and a baked good, with their tickets entered into a prize raffle. The other appreciation dates are March 16, April 7, and May 4, 2022.
