Students in Dr. Robert Carr's Client Project Production course presented their final campaign to this semester's client, the Fitchburg Art Museum and Photographer Stephen DiRado, whose exhibit, Better Together: Four Decades of Photographs, they are promoting. DiRado, Fitchburg Art Museum Director Nick Capasso, Assistant Curator Sarah Harper. Dr. Carr, President Hodge and Filmmaker Dustin Hodge scrutinized the various elements of the campaign; marketing, catalogue, social media, and video. It was unanimous that the students did an amazing job. Better Together: Four Decades of Photographs will be on exhibit at the Fitchburg Art Museum through June 1, 2025.

Mount Wachusett Community College students in search of a residential collegiate experience may live on the Fitchburg State University campus through a new agreement recently signed by the presidents of the institutions.
Students enrolled in the new Housing Program will benefit from the longstanding collaboration between Fitchburg State and the Mount, which includes articulation agreements, close proximity, a shared regional transportation system, and a shared commitment to supporting students' academic, co-curricular, and social development.
Participating students from the Mount will also be able to access the facilities, resources, and activities at Fitchburg State.
Fitchburg State University’s Men’s Hockey Team was honored by Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, State Senator John Cronin (D - Fitchburg), and State Representative Michael Kushmerek (D - Fitchburg) at the Massachusetts State House on Friday, May 2 after their historic season resulted in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) championship.
Last week, Freddy Falcon was on the quad handing out cookies and swag to remind everyone of tomorrow's President Donna Hodge's Investiture and Installation Ceremony. The Fitchburg State University community and beyond will be celebrating the investiture of Dr. Donna M. Hodge as the 12th President of Fitchburg State University. This formal ceremony will mark the official installation of President Hodge into her role as the university's chief executive officer. #FitchburgStateHodgeEra

Yesterday afternoon, we capped off a day of celebrating our student's scholarly achievements at the Undergraduate Conference for Research and Creative Practice event with our Scholarship Awards Ceremony. Best-selling author and illustrator Peter H. Reynolds, a 1983 alumnus of Fitchburg State University, returned to the campus earlier this month for an artist residency for a series of events with students, faculty and community members. On this day, Mr. Reynolds sat with President Hodge for a Q&A session in front of a crowded audience of students, faculty, staff, and community members in the Hammond Hall Main Lounge. Last week, President Donna Hodge and Fitchburg State University Police Chief Michael Cloutier wrapped up a days-long emergency management training on campus attended by university administrators and staff as well as representatives from the city’s police and fire departments by handing out giftbags as a token of their appreciation.

Before the our MASCAC Championship Men's Hockey Team heads to the NCAA DIII Tournament on Saturday, President Donna Hodge hosted a small celebratory brunch and NCAA Tournament announcement watch party this morning in the Falcon Hub at Hammond Hall, where the bracket and schedule was announced.
President Hodge and Coach Fuller addressed the team expressing gratitude for their MASCAC championship run, and wishing them luck in the first round of he NCAA DIII Tournament where they learned this morning, they will be facing off against Utica.
