Fitchburg State Holds Eighth Annual NCAHS Induction Ceremony

Fitchburg State University held its eighth annual National Collegiate Athlete Honor Society (NCAHS) induction ceremony on Monday, with 36 student-athletes being recognized for their academic achievements.

The National College Athlete Honor Society was founded at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. on May 17, 1996, as a student-athlete honor society for the recognition of high academic achievers and sport letter-winners as the collegiate level.

There are 269 chapters of the NCAHS, Chi Alpha Sigma across the country with Fitchburg State University designated as the Sigma Chapter of the Chi Alpha Sigma.

Women's HERstory Month Lunch Bingo

The Fitchburg Activities Board (FAB) along with the Women's HERstory Month Committee hosted Women's HERstory Month Lunch Bingo in the Falcon Hub. Attendees learned multitasking fun and facts as they played lightning speed rounds of BINGO. Winners EVERY game!

Future Falcons Day - March 19, 2022

Future Falcons joined us at an admitted student open house to see what their life at Fitchburg State could be. The admitted students were able to attend information sessions and get an in depth look at their academic department, talk with current students, have financial aid questions answered, and more. The morning was capped off with the Future Falcon Day Celebration at our Recreation Center. After a welcome from President Richard Lapidus, Future Falcons, their families and guests, were able to mingle with a multitude of departments and student groups. Women in Leadership Panel Discussion, March 15, 2022

The students of Feminist Conversation and Student Government Association, along with some of the finest female professors at Fitchburg State gathered in the Hamond Main Lounge yesterday afternoon for a panel discussion, They shared their own personal journeys and decisions into politics and leadership roles. This panel also celebrated the birthday of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a lawyer, associate justice of the United States Supreme Court, and a mother who spent a lifetime flourishing in the face of adversity.
