Lighting of the Campus Preparation

Faculty, staff , and students went about their way on the Highland Plaza this afternoon as preparations were being made for this week's Annual Lighting of the Campus. The campus will gather at the plaza for the Lighting of the Campus on Thursday, December 1, at 4:30.

Student Development - Holiday Tree Tradition

Associate Director of Student Development & Commuter and Volunteer Affairs Shane Franzen continued the tradition of decorating the Hammond Hall vestibule for the Christmas holiday. As you can see, a focal point are the trees Shane sets up on the Hammond Hall landing.

Students Visit Fitchburg State University

Members of our Admission Staff, along with our Student Ambassadors/Tour Guides, eagerly welcomed three groups to the Fitchburg State University campus Friday. We were delighted to host seventy students from Narragansett High School, twenty students from Boston Prep Charter School, and twelve transfer students. Each group attended Information session, toured our beautiful campus, and then had lunch where they were able to ask current students about the university.

Homecoming & Reunion Weekend Kick-Off

Last night we kicked off our Homecoming and Reunion Weekend with a Pep rally, Bonfire, and Carnival in a transformed Ross St. Parking Lot. Homecoming is our annual celebration that brings our entire Falcon community together for an amazing fall weekend and the opening night was amazing, we celebrated our athletic teams, and everyone enjoyed  rides, games, food and more!

Sigma Pi Sleepout for the Homeless

The brothers of Sigma Pi set up for their Sleepout for the Homeless event in the quad, where they will be spending the night in a bivouac shelter made of boxes. They will be selling refreshments, all proceeds go to supporting North Star Family Services until noon tomorrow, so stop by!

Around Campus - Alpaca Yoga

If you drove down Highland Ave. this morning, your eyes weren't deceiving you, there were indeed  alpaca on the quad courtesy of Commuter Affairs. Students got the opportunity to stretch and center themselves, through yoga, in the company of four alpaca from In the Meadow Farm, Lunenburg, MA. Students clearly enjoyed their session with the friendly camelids.
