While the official start to the Spring season is still two days away, that didn't stop students from enjoying the seventy degree plus day here on the Fitchburg State University Campus. From an impromptu football game on the quad, to classes held outside, to Admissions tours, to just chilling out and enjoying unseasonably warm weather.

It was standing room only at yesterday's Nancy Folbre Lecture entitled The Motherhood Penalty: Past, Present, and Covid in Hammond Hall. Nancy Folbre, Director of the Program on Gender and Care Work at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, discussed the motherhood penalty as part of our HERstory Month Celebration.

Pi Day part two, after hosting a 3.14 mile run this morning, the Mathematics Department also hosted Pi(e) Eating in the quad. Student, faculty and staff stopped by for a slice, and or a Pi shaped cookie.
