The Fitchburg Activities Board (FAB) along with the Women's HERstory Month Committee hosted Women's HERstory Month Lunch Bingo in the Falcon Hub. Attendees learned multitasking fun and facts as they played lightning speed rounds of BINGO. Winners EVERY game!

Future Falcons joined us at an admitted student open house to see what their life at Fitchburg State could be. The admitted students were able to attend information sessions and get an in depth look at their academic department, talk with current students, have financial aid questions answered, and more. The morning was capped off with the Future Falcon Day Celebration at our Recreation Center. After a welcome from President Richard Lapidus, Future Falcons, their families and guests, were able to mingle with a multitude of departments and student groups. While the official start to the Spring season is still two days away, that didn't stop students from enjoying the seventy degree plus day here on the Fitchburg State University Campus. From an impromptu football game on the quad, to classes held outside, to Admissions tours, to just chilling out and enjoying unseasonably warm weather.

It was standing room only at yesterday's Nancy Folbre Lecture entitled The Motherhood Penalty: Past, Present, and Covid in Hammond Hall. Nancy Folbre, Director of the Program on Gender and Care Work at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, discussed the motherhood penalty as part of our HERstory Month Celebration.

Pi Day part two, after hosting a 3.14 mile run this morning, the Mathematics Department also hosted Pi(e) Eating in the quad. Student, faculty and staff stopped by for a slice, and or a Pi shaped cookie.
