Thank you for your help in making the 2023 Go Falcons Challenge a success!

The 5th Annual Go Falcons Challenge began Wednesday with President Lapidus' kick-off gift to each Falcon Athletics team. With Freddy spreading the word.

This was our largest Go Falcons Challenge to date with over 80 student athletes contacting over 1,800 Alumni and past sports donors along with a large number of family and friends to secure over 450 individual gifts (454) and over $20,000 ($20,654). This represents a 17.5% increase in donations and a 45% Increase in individuals making a donation to support one of our teams.

The Industrial Arts Alumni through Engineering Technology Alumni gathered for a reunion today on campus. The festivities began with a Classic/Antique Car Show on Highland Ave. followed by  campus tours, and then a luncheon & reunion in the Falcon Hub. A special treat was the display of tools from the Walter Harrod Collection.

Engineering Technology alum, Director of Education  VDC Director at Piquette & Howard Electric Service, Corey Coleman '17, recently spoke with students and faculty in the Engineering Technology Department. He discussed his experience at Fitchburg State University and his specialty, Virtual Design & Construction.

Thursday evening, the Exercise and Sports Science Department presented a Career Night featuring alumni. Speakers Physician Assistant Natalie Antaya, Strength and Conditioning Coach Brandon Mgeni, Bioassay Quality Control Scientist at Moderna Michelle Nkansah, Occupational Therapist Brianna Mirenda, and BSN Danielle Patton. All shared stories of their journeys to where they are now, and what it's like in their respective positions with current students and faculty.

English Studies Professor Kisha Tracy welcomed Local Storyteller, Teacher, and Alum Todd Goodwin to her Storytelling and Oral Tradition class yesterday morning. After regaling the class with some harmonica playing, a song, and lighting the imaginary campfire, Mr. Goodwin told the story of "The Rich Man's Smells."

Professor Jo Nazro, Fitchburg State University Industrial Technology/Technical Theater alum, starts with the basics to get her Technical Theater students prepared to begin construction for this semester's production of Extremities. Alum Jim Geary ’78, a  software entrepreneur with over 25 years as a CEO, Chairman, and Board Member in startup and growth stage companies focused on cybersecurity, enterprise information and data analytics. Spoke in Professor Nadimpalli Mahadev's Ethical Hacking and Software Engineering classes, stressing the boundless opportunities they will have with a Fitchburg State University education. 

Afterward, the Office of Alumni and Development hosted a luncheon for Mr. Geary, students, faculty, and staff.
