It was all hands on deck this morning for the Fitchburg State University Great Move In 2025. Our athletic teams, staff, Clubs, University Police, students, and more were spread out between Check-In at the Wallace Civic Center, and the dormitories on the main campus, all in the effort of making our newest Falcons move in process as smooth as possible. The Great Move In will be capped off with the Falcon Nest BBQ this afternoon.

Timothy Grant gave a training session about the intricacies of de-escalating various situations to our Office of Student Development Student Orientation Leaders, and Housing and Residential Services Resident Assistants in preparation for our upcoming Orientation Sessions where we welcome our newest Falcons.

Members of TRIO, Counseling Services, Disability Services, Academic Coaching and Tutoring Center (ACT), International Education, and Career Services. were eager to help the OLs answer any questions from our incoming Falcons.

Our Office of Student Development Student Orientation Leaders came back to campus yesterday for a week long preparation for Move In & orientation sessions for our newest Falcons coming to campus next week. After moving in, and reconnecting over lunch, the Orientation Leaders began a week of training with review of the schedule, introductions, and a name memory ice breaker.

This afternoon, our Transfer Orientation wrapped up on Hammond Plaza. As the new Falcons departed, they grabbed a Welcome to the Flock T-Shirt, exchanged information, grabbed a snack, enjoyed some crafting - including the popular stuff-a-bear, and got some last minute questions answered buy our Orientation Leaders- see you soon!
