After a morning of training sessions, Chief of University Police Michael Cloutier invited our Residents Assistants, and Housing and Residential Services staff, to tour University Police facilities. Along with lunch and meeting the University Police staff, students and staff got to try out equipment, see what it's like to perform a sobriety test with "drunk" goggles, and so much more!

This morning, Director of of TRIO Student Support Services Beth Swartz, held a Managing Stress session with our Orientation Leaders (OLs) in the Hammond Center Main Lounge. She taught the OLs some stress relieving techniques, and discussed strategies on dealing with stressful situations.

It was a gorgeous morning on the Fitchburg State University quad for a breakfast. Capital Planning and Maintenance Maintainer staff members were invited to join President Hodge for an appreciation breakfast. This gave President Hodge the opportunity for her to connect with, and thank them for all their work before the start of the new semester. President Hodge will also be hosting a dinner this evening for those who work second shift.
Our Office of Student Development Student Orientation Leaders are on campus preparing for orientation sessions for our newest Falcons returning to campus next week. After moving in, and reconnecting over lunch, the Orientation Leaders began a week of training, including a Minute To Win It style team building project.

Award-winning filmmaker, Communications Media/Film/Video Concentration student, Tonia Magras continued filming "Do You Remember Me?" at our Nursing Program's Simulation Lab - which for today, served as a hospital for the filming. Toni is enlisting the services of other Communications Media/Film/Video Concentration students, along with Assistant Professor, Film and Video, Rachelle A. Dermer, to bring her project to fruition.

Yesterday, President Donna Hodge, in collaboration with Human Resources, hosted a BBQ luncheon for the university's AFSCME employees on the quad. This was a great opportunity for campus colleagues to enjoy some social time with one another before the start of the fall semester.
Award-winning filmmaker, Communications Media/Film/Video Concentration student, Tonia Magras continued filming "Do You Remember Me?" at various locations here on the Fitchburg State University campus including a residence hall, the quad, and our Game Room. President Hodge stopped by to chat with Tonia and the crew of students during their quad shoot.
