This group - the Dough-minators presented their updates for Bova's Bakery in the North End.

Fitchburg State University’s Men’s Hockey Team was honored by Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, State Senator John Cronin (D - Fitchburg), and State Representative Michael Kushmerek (D - Fitchburg) at the Massachusetts State House on Friday, May 2 after their historic season resulted in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) championship.
Yesterday afternoon, the Fitchburg Activities Board (FAB) sponsored the Spring Week Hodge Hoedown to celebrate President Hodge on the main quad. There was a mechanical bull, hobby horsing, line dancing, airbrush hats, tie dye socks and bandanas, cowboy hats, cow plop bingo, and more! Dinner was served on the quad.

In a cooperative effort between our Criminal Justice Program and our Housing and Residential Services students in Professor Michael S. McCutcheon's Criminal Investigation course were able to work crime scenes in an unoccupied suite in Aubuchon Hall. After Professor McCutcheon handed out the scenarios, students broke into groups, assessed the scene, and began gathering evidence.

Theater Professor Ellen (Cap) Corduan discuses the intricacies of stage design in relationship to an actors physical process in her Theatrical Design Skills course. This is a lecture/laboratory course presenting basic problem solving skills in scenic and costume craft covering terminology and processes of stage production including integration of design elements/materials, basic drafting, stage carpentry, rigging, equipment use and shop safety.

Friends, family, colleagues, current & former students gathered in the Falcon Hub yesterday afternoon to celebrate the career of Economics, History and Political Science Department Professor Joshua Spero, Kind words were shared by Professor Paul Weizer, Benjamin Lieberman, and Eric Budd. Elizabeth Walsh, of Senator John J. Cronin's office presented a citation from the Massachusetts State Senate to honor his years of service. Dr. Spero, while no longer teaching, will remain involved in his much beloved travel abroad programs.

Economics, History and Political Science Professor Katherine Jewell took advantage of the great weather and took her U.S. Economic History class to the Highland Plaza where each group debated a case in U.S. economics. This course takes a panoramic view of the economic history of the United States, surveying the course of U.S. history from the early European settlement of the 1600s and 1700s up until the contemporary age of globalization, all from the perspective of and with an emphasis upon the economic matters that informed that history.
