Our 8th Fitchburg State University Police Program's Recruit Officer Course (ROC) began week two, as they begin just about every day, with physical training (PT) this morning at Elliot Field. PT instructors Dr. Jess Alsup and Dr. Lindsay Parisi of our Exercise Sports Science Program (EXSS) led the recruits in their exercise session.

Our Center for Teaching and Learning's Summer Institute 2025 began today. This years session will focus on field-tested strategies, tools, and techniques through which instructors can use pedagogy and assessment to increase student engagement. The institute offers a specific look at first-year students, as research shows early approaches have lasting effects. The institute is designed for teachers and librarians interested in exploring diverse methods of engaging students through collaborative and inclusive practices.

Last week, our Office of International Education honored Fitchburg State University students who took advantage of our Study Abroad Program. Students were honored for, and shared their life changing experiences and received medals to wear during our Undergraduate Commencement ceremony.
