Students in Professor Michael S. McCutcheon's Criminal Investigation course matched up shoe castings, also called a moulage, with shoe prints made on paper. The students made their castings weeks ago, which made this task more difficult.

Yesterday afternoon, the Fitchburg State University Career Services and Advising Center, along with MassBioEd, and Massachusetts Life Sciences Center sponsored a Life Sciences Networking Event in the Antonucci Science Complex. The event offered an opportunity for students interested in a career in the life sciences industry to meet professionals from Biosynth, Dewpoint Therapeutics, Inc., UMass Chan Medical School, Xilio Therapeutics, and more! Students were able to network and find out about career opportunities and pathways to success, gain insights into life sciences careers, soft skills, and internships.

This year's Visions, a juried honors exhibit of the Communications Media Department, opened with an Alumni Panel in the Ellis White White Lecture Hall. This lively discussion was followed by The Gallery Opening, and a Film & Video Screening in Weston Auditorium. Thank you to the alumni, jurors, Communications Media faculty, students, and staff. The Exhibit will run until June 30, 2023.

Students in Professor Lee's Cinematography course work to properly light a scene in the TV Studio with artificial light, and outside with natural. This course is a blend of the artistic and the technical. Aspects of the topic include film stock, laboratories, lenses, lighting, cameras, composition, camera angles, continuity, color and special processes. The relationship between the cinematographer and other members of the production team, as well as the structure of feature film camera departments are examined. The English Studies Department held their High School Writing Awards and Creative Writing Awards Ceremony this afternoon in Presidents Hall. First place and honorable mention writing award winners from area high schools were recognized. Some winners read their work aloud from the Route Two literary magazine. Some of the first place high school winners' writing along with Fitchburg State student writing, was available for free at the event.
The Sustainability Committee, in collaboration with the City of Fitchburg, and in partnership with student organizations, organized a special Earth Day event yesterday afternoon. Partnering with student organizations including Sigma Pi Fraternity, Outdoor Adventure Club, the Biology-Chemistry Club, and the Criminal Justice Club, students, faculty, and staff did their part to clean up and recycle trash on our campus and the surrounding neighborhood.

Yesterday afternoon, Psychological Science students were inducted into the Fitchburg State University Chapter of Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology in the Presidents Conference Room. Students must have least three semesters (45 credits) of college coursework, three semesters (45 credits) of college coursework, and least three courses (9 credits) in psychology at Fitchburg State University, including PSY 2100 Research Design and Analysis II. Students are eligible for induction if the following criteria are met:
