Engineering Program - Guest Speaker Series

Late last week, both faculty and students got a chance to learn from, and ask questions of Justin Aubuchon, LEED AP CM-Lean, Vice President of Pre-Construction and Estimating at Bond Building Construction, Inc. who presented "Integrating Preconstruction Phases: Collaboration Between Estimators, Designers, and Contractors" as part of the  Engineering Technology Department's  guest speaker series in Conlon Hall.

Nursing Simulation Laboratory; Pediatric Patient Scenario

This morning, our nursing students worked through a pediatric patient scenario in our Nursing Simulation Laboratory. The Nursing Simulation Laboratory assists nursing students in learning critical thinking and clinical judgment skills in preparation for their healthcare careers. The “manikins” act as lifelike patient simulators, wherein instructors provide real-time feedback via a control center, giving students as close to real-life simulation as possible. Fellow students watch as their classmates work through the simulation. All students and faculty debrief after the scenario.

Men’s Ice Hockey Team Receives MASCAC Championship Rings

On Saturday morning in the Hammond Hall Main Lounge, the 2025 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) champion Fitchburg State University men's hockey team was finally handed the glittering, custom-forged rings, transforming months of sweat and sacrifice into a single, overwhelming flash of victory.

Fitchburg Activities Board (FAB) - Trunk-or-Treat

This afternoon the Fitchburg Activities Board (FAB) took over Highland Ave. in front of the Townhouses to celebrate Halloween the FAB way! Fitchburg State University Police therapy dog Zara got in on the action while not to be outdone, our Nursing Simulation Laboratory  went all out for the holiday.

Each year, Fitchburg State University's Office of Student Engagement holds, and judges, the Staff Golden Pumpkin Costume Contest - this year's theme was Streaming Shows. The winning office gets bragging rights for an entire year along with the Golden Pumpkin Trophy!

Gallery Reception - Inside Out: Guest Game Artists

A gallery reception for the Inside Out: Guest Game Artists exhibition was held this afternoon at the Hammond Hall Art Gallery. The exhibit is  a unique look into the creative process of game design. Guest game artists presented their work and talked about their careers and artistic process. Guests Artists; Carlos Jambrina - a character A.I programmer at Rockstar for years, working on Red Dead Redemption II, Vicki Sarkissian - an art director and concept artist working full time remote for Starlight Games, Ali Swei - a senior concept artist for Intrepid Studios, and Jarien Skywall - a Senior 3D Character Artist working for Studio Drydock.

Veteran Student Stories - Board of Trustees
