Our final orientation session gives our newest Falcons, unable to attend previous dates, the opportunity to get schedule information, learn about on-campus opportunities, and more. After check-in, where they were able to connect with current students, staff, each other, and Zara our Fitchburg State University Police therapy dog in training, Student Development Dean of Students Timothy St. John. welcomed students and their guests in the Hammond Main Lounge. Assistant Director of Student Development Angelo M. Prevosto introduced our Orientation Leaders who will guide then through a day full of information sessions and activities.

Our Fitchburg State University Admissions Fourth Annual College Search Kickoff Event, designed for rising Seniors and their families, was capped off with a BBQ and ice cream truck. After information sessions to learn more about Fitchburg State, the college search in general, and campus tours, all were welcome to a BBQ and ice cream truck, and to network with each other and members of the university staff.

Our Fitchburg State University Admissions Fourth Annual College Search Kickoff event is in full swing this morning. It's a perfect day for this event designed for rising Seniors and their families to learn more about not only Fitchburg State, but the college search in general. After checking in, our Guests heard from admission counselors on what we look for in an application; tips on writing an essay; and were able to tour the campus. Afterwards, all will be welcomed to a BBQ and ice cream truck.

Due to last night's inclement weather, the university held its last Summer Series event, Game Night, in the Hammond Main Lounge. The university and greater Fitchburg community gathered for comradery, refreshments, trivia, bingo, some friendly competition, and prizes.

Director of Admissions Tony Trodella is holding a day-long retreat for our Admissions Staff. In this session, School of Health and Natural Sciences Professors Ronald Krieser and Monica Maldari discussed their programs as well as our Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) Early Acceptance Programs to Medical School.

This afternoon, students in our Fitchburg State University Police Program's Recruit Officer Course (ROC) worked on crash scene investigation with Det. Steve Foley of the Walpole Police Department. Cadets were given various crash incident scenarios, and worked their way through them in real time. Afterward, they received feedback on their performances. Two Criminal Justice students acted as the crash victims.

Fitchburg State University Police Sergeant, and Certified CPR Instructor, Timothy Grant, along with Fitchburg State University Police Sergeant Dylan Soldi conduct CPR lessons to members of our Athletics staff at classroom in the Recreation Center.
