Day one of the Fitchburg State University Police Program's Recruit Officer Course (ROC) was underway as of this morning. We'd like to thank Natick Police Chief James Hicks for coming out to address the class this morning. Chief Hicks is Chairman of the Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC) and also has two Recruits in the class.

Saturday, May 14, 2022 was a perfect day for the 126th Annual Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony at Fitchburg State University. A BIG THANK YOU to all of our graduates, their friends & families, administration, staff , alumni, and faculty who all made the day a success. Excitement filled the air as Fitchburg State University's Class of 2022 filled the quad for today's commencement ceremony. Along with the conferral of degrees, there were lots of smiles, cheers, and a few tears as the class of 2022 graduated.

Preparations are underway for Fitchburg State University Undergraduate Commencement 2022, May 14, 2022. We can't wait to see all of our graduates able to share this milestone in-person with family and friends begining at  at 10 a.m.!

Members of the Fitchburg State University Class of 2022 gathered in the Falcon Hub for Senior Brunch. They heard from Vice President for Student Affairs Laura Bayless, and  Director of Alumni and Family Relations, Tanya Hoos Crowley as they will soon be a member of the 49,000 strong Fitchburg State alumni. It gave the seniors one last chance to gather, plan for the future, get some photos, and take part in the senior toast.

Our Center for Diversity and Inclusiveness wrapped up their Finals Grab and Go week to support students during finals today. It was six days with opportunities to grab a treat and relax in the office, and take a break from finals. Yesterday was Tropical Freeze Pops, and today was a Popcorn Bar with sweet & savory topping options.

Richard Toomey, Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management, invited the entire campus community to celebrate the completion of the renovation work for the new University Welcome Center in the Anthony Student Services Building on Wednesday, May 11.  Colleagues and campus partners were encouraged  to visit and view our new shared space intended to welcome all guests to the campus.

As part of the Senior Frenzy for finals week, seniors got an opportunity to take a bit of a break during finals week - grab a snack, and take their minds off testing with some relaxation-centric activities; kinetic sand, funky stress balls, coloring books, etc..

To support our students during finals, our Center for Diversity and Inclusiveness is holding Finals Grab and Go - six days with opportunities to grab a treat and relax in the office, and take a break from finals. Monday Grab and Go was a French Fry Bar.
