Our Office of Student Engagement staff and Student Orientation Leaders hunkered down in Hammond Hall to lock in the final plans, review the task grid, and assign roles for this Sunday's New Student Move-In & Orientation Sessions for our newest Falcons.

Our Orientation Leaders took a quick break from training today to ham it up for the camera.

These student leaders are getting ready to welcome our newest Falcons, the Class of 2030, to campus, but first, they had to drop some legendary social content. Keep an eye on our feeds to see what they put together.

 Our Office of Student Engagement Student Orientation Leaders moved back to campus this morning, many with help from Mom & Dad, for a week long preparation for Move In & orientation sessions for our newest Falcons coming to campus next week. 

Orientation isn’t just for our newest Falcons—it’s for their support systems, as well. While our incoming students spent the day diving into information sessions to prep for the fall, their parents and families participated in their own comprehensive transition programming — including campus safety with UPD Deputy Chief Lamarche, student services, and meeting with our Academic Deans. 

As part of today's orientation, our newest students engaged in a comprehensive series of sessions designed to bridge the gap between high school and the first day of college. By collaborating directly with the Registrar, Academic Advisors, and Department Chairs, students were able to align their academic goals with their course schedules, ensuring they are positioned to thrive from day one. At Fitchburg State, we prioritize these meaningful faculty-student connections to foster persistence and long-term academic growth.  

This morning. Our Orientation Leaders & Coordinators, along with staff and departments were on hand to welcome our newest Falcons who opted for one of our One Day Orientation options. After a warm from welcome from Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Success Pamela McCafferty, Associate Director of Student Development Angelo M. Prevosto introduced the incredible team of Orientation Leaders who will be by our students' sides every step of the way. These OLs are ready to guide everyone through an unforgettable two days packed with connection, critical info sessions, and a whole lot of Falcon pride. 

Setting the foundation for academic success and timely graduation. During Fitchburg State University's Summer Orientation sessions, incoming students connect directly with Academic Advisors within their prospective majors. This proactive advising model is designed to facilitate a seamless transition into higher education. By meeting with department experts early, our newest Falcons gain a clear understanding of their unique degree pathways, map out critical foundational benchmarks, and finalize their Fall course schedules with confidence. Thank you to our dedicated faculty and academic advisors for guiding the Class of 2030 toward a strong start this semester! 

And that is an official WRAP on Summer Orientation 2026! A massive, Wachusett mountain-sized shoutout to our phenomenal Student Engagement staff and rockstar Orientation Leaders! From Session 1 to the final moments of Session 3, this team kept the energy at an absolute 10/10, bringing the hype and welcoming our newest Falcons and their families with open arms. They’ve walked the miles, answered a million questions, and showed the Class of 2030 what Falcon Pride is truly about. We couldn't have completed the flock without you! 

Summer Orientation 2026: Session 3 Welcome in Weston. The energy on campus this morning is absolutely electric as we welcome our incoming students and families for Summer Orientation Session 3. Our newest Falcons kicked off their day in Weston Auditorium, getting a warm and high-energy welcome from Dean of Students Tim St. John. Afterward, Associate Director of Student Development Angelo M.
