Timothy Grant gave a training session about the intricacies of de-escalating various situations to our  Office of Student Development Student Orientation Leaders, and Housing and Residential Services Resident Assistants  in preparation for our upcoming Orientation Sessions where we welcome our newest Falcons.

Resident Assistants Tour University Police Department

Chief of University Police Michael Cloutier invited our Residents Assistants, and Housing and Residential Services staff, to tour University Police facilities. Along with lunch and meeting the University Police staff, students and staff got to try out equipment, see what it's like to perform a sobriety test with "drunk" goggles, and so much more!

Football Team Move In

Housing and Residential Services Presents: First Look Friday

Family and roommate vibes were in full swing as we welcomed incoming Falcons, their families, and friends today for Housing and Residential Services' First Look Friday event. First Look Friday gives new residential students a chance to see their residence halls, the size and layout of their rooms, visit common areas, meet future classmates, and more, in advance of move-in next month.  Fitchburg State University Police comfort-dog-in-training Zara was on hand as well.

Fitchburg State, MWCC Sign New Housing Agreement

Mount Wachusett Community College students in search of a residential collegiate experience may live on the Fitchburg State University campus through a new agreement recently signed by the presidents of the institutions.

Students enrolled in the new Housing Program will benefit from the longstanding collaboration between Fitchburg State and the Mount, which includes articulation agreements, close proximity, a shared regional transportation system, and a shared commitment to supporting students' academic, co-curricular, and social development. 

Participating students from the Mount will also be able to access the facilities, resources, and activities at Fitchburg State.

Herlihy Hall Move In Day 1

Herlihy Sneak Peek - Trustees Tour Reimagined Herlihy Hall

After yesterday's Board of Trustees meeting, Executive Director of Housing & Residential Services Matt Lechter offered a sneak peek of the newly reimagined - and re-opened, Herlihy Hall before today's Open House from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Assoc. Vice President for Capital Planning and Maintenance JD Head was on hand to answer any questions or concerns. In addition, Student Trustee Matthew Gill and Student Government Association (SGA) President Michael Burns were on hand to offer the student's perspective.
