The Fitchburg State University Modern Jazz Band practicing in Weston Auditorium for tomorrow night's Music Mega-Mix. The performance will include instrumental and choral ensembles presenting a free concert at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, March 22 at Weston Auditorium, 353 North St. The Music Mega-Mix will showcase the Concert Band, Community Orchestra, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, and Modern Jazz Band. The students of Feminist Conversation and Student Government Association, along with some of the finest female professors at Fitchburg State gathered in the Hamond Main Lounge yesterday afternoon for a panel discussion, They shared their own personal journeys and decisions into politics and leadership roles. This panel also celebrated the birthday of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a lawyer, associate justice of the United States Supreme Court, and a mother who spent a lifetime flourishing in the face of adversity. Our Women's HERstory Month kicked off this afternoon with an Opening Reception in the G lobby of Hammond Hall where the names of the 12 Women Who Impacted Fitchburg State through the years were unveiled. There was a special performance by the Fitchburg State Choir, led by Jonathan Harvey, DMA. The 12 Women who were recognized at this event were, Alice Palmer, Amelia Gallucci Cirio ‘38, Beverly Farias ‘52, Class of 1897, Gertrude E. Bradt, Helen Ross Russell, Jeanne Antonucci ‘73, ‘78, Jennifer Flanagan ‘04, Michele Zide, Ruth Jefts 1897, Susan Wadsworth, and the ToKalon Society. Student Development held a Psychic Fair on the Street Level of the Hammond Building yesterday afternoon. Students were able to make their own spell jar, have their auras read, get a Tarot card reading, and more!

The program was open to all students in all majors, with a focus on positions in architecture; construction management; electronics engineering technology; energy management engineering technology; manufacturing engineering technology; technology/engineering education 5-12 licensure; and technology/engineering education industry training.
