Athletics Hall of Fame Induction, 2022

Friends and family gathered yesterday for some laughs, and some tears, as they came together for the Athletics Hall of Fame Induction 2022. Master of ceremonies
Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management Richard Toomey welcomed attendees to the event that honored the noble goals of competition, camaraderie, and personal growth gained via involvement in athletics. President Richard Lapidus and Senior Director of Athletics & Recreation Matthew Burke honored new inductees; Amanda L. Burns ‘12, Sue Lauder, Brian A. Milleisen ‘06, Mickey Natoli ‘81, Stephanie Payette ‘09,, and the 1989-1990 Men’s Ice Hockey Team. Congratulations all & GO FALCONS!

Falcons enjoyed dancing, casino games, photo props, food and more!. Alumni were encouraged to dress as they would in the decade they graduated. A fun time was had by all!

Homecoming & Reunion Weekend Kick-Off

Last night we kicked off our Homecoming and Reunion Weekend with a Pep rally, Bonfire, and Carnival in a transformed Ross St. Parking Lot. Homecoming is our annual celebration that brings our entire Falcon community together for an amazing fall weekend and the opening night was amazing, we celebrated our athletic teams, and everyone enjoyed  rides, games, food and more!

LGBTQ+ History Month: Drag Queen Story Hour

An inaugural Drag Queen Story Hour was held this afternoon in the Amelia V Gallucci-Cirio Library as part of the university's celebration of LGBTQ+ History Month. Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is a children's event that was first started in 2015 by author and activist Michelle Tea in San Francisco with the goal to "inspire a love of reading, while teaching deeper lessons on diversity, self-love and an appreciation of others.
