The Career Services and Advising Center will sponsored its Job and Internship Fair today, March 29 at the Athletics and Recreation Center. Students had the opportunity to meet with employers from several different industries. Students, regardless of year of graduation, and alumni were strongly encouraged to attend and take this opportunity to connect employers looking to hire Fitchburg State University students.

Academic Coaching and Tutoring Center (ACT) visited the Gear Up Center at Fitchburg High School. Director of the ACT Center Kat McLellan, PhD, and Asst. Director of ACT were joined by Student Tutors Lia Reyes Jimenez, Olivia Willis, and Stephanie Amponmaah Boamah where they discuss future plans, college preparation, and the college experience with soon-to-be-graduates of Fitchburg High School. ARTeries 2022, our juried student art exhibition of drawing, painting, sculpture & mixed-media art, held an opening reception yesterday afternoon in the Hammond Gallery. ARTeries is Fitchburg State University Art Department’s annual juried exhibition that showcases the strongest original student work in drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed-media art. ARTeries provides an opportunity for the university community to celebrate the artistic talents of Fitchburg State students.

The Fitchburg Activities Board (FAB) along with the Women's HERstory Month Committee hosted Women's HERstory Month Lunch Bingo in the Falcon Hub. Attendees learned multitasking fun and facts as they played lightning speed rounds of BINGO. Winners EVERY game!

President Lapidus joined staff this morning at the North Street Bistro for the second of four Staff Appreciation events, also held simultaneously at the McKay Café. Staff were treated to a beverage, and a snack, with their tickets entered into a prize raffle. The other appreciation dates are, April 7, and May 4, 2022.

It has been about 20 years since Pi Day, March 14th, has fallen on a class day here at Fitchburg State! In celebration, the Mathematics Department is hosted a 3.14 mile run. At 9:30 Dr. Peter Staab, and others, braved the chilly temperatures for the 3.14 mile run. After some directions from Gerry Higdon, they were off.
Later today, at 1:59pm, there will be Pi(e) Eating and other activities on the quad side of Edgerly Hall. Yes, the time is intentional… Think about it.
