Fitchburg State University is marking Constitution Day 2025 with a week full of events organized by the General Education Program co-sponsored with the Office of Student Development and the Student Government Association will focus on the topic of the due process of law. Yesterday afternoon, English Studies Professor Kisha Tracy and President Hodge welcomed the first speaker, Fitchburg State Board of Trustees Member Shane Rodriguez a '94 Alum, Attorney, Assistant Professor at MA School of Law, and former Leominster Police Department Officer who presented "Rights, Wrongs, and the Rule of Law: Understanding Due Process."

Due to last night's inclement weather, the university held its last Summer Series event, Game Night, in the Hammond Main Lounge. The university and greater Fitchburg community gathered for comradery, refreshments, trivia, bingo, some friendly competition, and prizes.

Yesterday afternoon, the Fitchburg Activities Board (FAB) sponsored the Spring Week Hodge Hoedown to celebrate President Hodge on the main quad. There was a mechanical bull, hobby horsing, line dancing, airbrush hats, tie dye socks and bandanas, cowboy hats, cow plop bingo, and more! Dinner was served on the quad.

For the last month, our Dance Club Pros worked with staff to come up with a 3-4 minute dance, and yesterday afternoon was their last rehearsal in the Weston Auditorium before tonight's Dancing with the Staff event. The Fitchburg Activities Board (FAB) in conjunction with the Dance Club, are hosting Dancing with the Staff as a part of this year's Spring Week 2025 in Weston Auditorium, doors will open at 6:30. The winning Star and Pro will have bragging rights for a year, along with receiving the coveted Dancing with the Staff Trophy.

Earlier this week, members of the Bio/Chem Club, along with Biology faculty, gathered at the McKay Campus School parking lot to pick up trash on Rindge Rd. to mark Earth Day. Fitchburg State University Police were on hand to make sure the participants were safe.

This weekend, the Fitchburg State University Dance Club held their annual Spring Showcase in Weston Auditorium. Each performance is choreographed by a member of the club, and the performances were spectacular!
