Fitchburg State University Chapter of Psi Chi Induction

Yesterday afternoon, Psychological Science students were inducted into the Fitchburg State University Chapter of Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology in the Presidents Conference Room. Students must have least three semesters (45 credits) of college coursework, three semesters (45 credits) of college coursework, and least three courses (9 credits) in psychology at Fitchburg State University, including PSY 2100 Research Design and Analysis II. Students are eligible for induction if the following criteria are met:

Spring Dance Showcase - Sneak Peek!

Community Read: Storytelling Event

As part of our yearlong Community Read of Trevor Noah's Born a Crime, this event showcased the stories of students and community members through on-stage readings. Much like The Moth's storytelling events, this event encouraged heartfelt, compelling, humorous, and honest tellings of the complex and rich lives led by our peers, students, neighbors, and colleagues. Inspired by the historically and culturally rich vignettes presented in Noah's memoir, we hope this event opened us up to thoughtful consideration of who we are as a community, where we come from, and how we all ended up together.

Greek Life - Alpha Sigma Tau Swing-a-Thon

Alpha Sigma Tau are holding their yearly Swing-a-Thon fundraiser on the quad, they have been swinging since 8 a.m. yesterday, and will continue until 8 p.m. tonight for a total of 36 hours. They are swinging to raise money for the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN). RAINN helps people who experienced sexual assault get the help they need to support them and give them a voice. Stop by and  join them on the quad. Fill out a rain drop or do some art and crafts, and even some outdoor games! Learn more about Alpha Sigma Tau and Greek Life here.

Women's HERstory Month Kick Off - Their Stories, Our Stories

Our Annual Women's HERstory Month kicked off this afternoon with an Opening Reception in the G lobby of Hammond Hall. We commemorate and encourage the study, observance and celebration of the vital role of women in history and our society. Valentines Day in Hammond Hall

Phi Sigma Sigma sold flowers in G-Lobby of Hammond Hall for those last minute sweethearts, an yesterday, The Office of Student Development held their annual Valentine's Luncheon as a fundraiser for Alternative Spring Break (ASB), a long-standing tradition of traveling on spring break to assist Habitat for Humanity with the construction of houses for people in need.
