Career Services and Advising (CSA) gave away free coffee, pumpkin spice doughnuts, and tips to spice up your resume today on the first floor of Hammond Hall.

Earlier this week, Communications Media's Assistant Professor, Photography Concentration, J Flynn and our our photography students offered professional headshots at this week's Internship Fair in the Hammond Main Hall. This service is the result of a cooperative effort with our Career Services and Advising Center.

Earlier this week, Career Services and Advising (CSA) hosted an Internship Fair in the Hammond Main Hall. The fair gave students the opportunity to meet an array of local businesses and services face-to-face to discuss internships and potential employment. 

Our Career Services and Advising Center recently held a resume ad cover letter writing workshop for our LPN to BS in Nursing Bridge Program students. Career Services and Advising Center Director  Lindsay Carpenter Connors walked students through the process and affirmed the departments support through the process. 

Yesterday afternoon, Fitchburg State University, The Supplier Diversity Office, and the City of Fitchburg hosted the North Central Massachusetts Diverse & Small Business Opportunity Fair in the Hammond Hall Main Lounge. This, a diverse and small business opportunity fair, served as a great opportunity to network with public buyers and other business owners including; North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, MBTA,  MassHire, Massachusetts Department of Correction. Attendees were also be able to attend workshops held by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) and Operational Services Division (OSD).

On Friday, Lourdes Ramirez, coordinator of field placements, partnerships and recruitment for Fitchburg State’s School of Education welcomed a cohort of local high school students enrolled in The Future Educator Academy program to campus for a day of programming. Students completed a badge focused on topics in education; CPR- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation with Fitchburg State University Police Sgt. Timothy Grant, Peer Mediation and Conflict Resolution Techniques with School of Education Professor Emily Fournier, Career Planning & my Future Badge with Career Services and Advising Center Director Lindsay Carpenter Connors, Equity and Diversity in a Multicultural Society with School of Education Professor Dr. William Cortez, and Activity Facilitation with School of Education's Lourdes Ramirez.

Yesterday afternoon our Education Department, in cooperation with our Career Services Office, held a Meet & Greet in an effort to give graduating seniors in the Education Programs the opportunity to network with local school systems.

First-year students, sophomores, juniors, and seniors were strongly encouraged to attend and take this opportunity to connect with employers looking to hire Fitchburg State students. 

Yesterday, our Career Services and Advising Center hosted the Business and Technology Career Fair event, open to anyone interested in careers in business, engineering technology, construction management, and IT/technology fields. First-year students, sophomores, juniors, and seniors were strongly encouraged to attend and take this opportunity to connect with employers looking to hire Fitchburg State students.
