Sizer School Students - Dual Enrollment Program

Coordinator of Early College and Dual Enrollment Andrew Goodwin hosted students from the Sizer School yesterday on campus. These students, who are interested in our Dual Enrollment Program, learned about  Fitchburg State University  from our Admissions Councilors. After a tour of campus, Fitchburg State University Police Program  Interim Police Academy Director Alexandra Wysocki, Criminal Justice Professor Michael S. McCutcheon, and three of our Police Program students held a panel discussion.

Admissions - Nursing in Action

In order to get a better understanding of how our nursing students prepare, the nursing faculty and senior nursing students held the first of two  “Nursing in Action”
Programs this afternoon in the clinical labs at Thompson Hall. This event gave future nursing students the chance to see training topics lead by our senior nursing students including; Fall Prevention, Pediatric CPR, and Safe Body Mechanics among others. The next chance to get this experience is  is  Friday April 19  from 1-2:30pm, register here.

Future Falcon Day - Nursing Information Session

After checking in at our Thompson Hall location, Future Falcons and their guests were greeted by a  team of our nursing students and faculty to learn about our Nursing Program. These Future Falcons, planning to be Nursing majors, took part in just one of our many major-specific information sessions at yesterday's Future Falcon Day. Students and their guests got to tour of our Clinical Skills Lab, and take part in a panel discussion.

Future Falcon Day - Education Information Session

After checking in at our McKay School location, and a n introduction and tour from School of Education Department Chair Lyndsey Benharris,  Future Falcons planning to be Education majors took part in just one of our many major-specific information sessions at yesterday's Future Falcon Day. Students and their guests got to meet student favorite Beauty, learn about the various tracks available, and take part in a teaching exercise with an assist from Silly Putty.

Winter Orientation 2024

Winter Orientation was held in the Hammond Center today to welcome our newest Falcons to campus. After registration, the day began with welcome remarks from Director of Student Development Michael Kennedy, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Patricia Marshall, Vice President for Student Affairs Laura Bayless, and our Student Orientation Leaders. Students and their families heard presentations from various student services departments including Commuter AffairsHousing and Residential ServicesWellness & Counseling ServicesAcademic Coaching and Tutoring Center,  Career Services and Advising (CSA)Student AccountsUniversity Police, and Community Health Connections, Welcome to the flock!
