Students Michael Brogdon and Kyrie Ou set the stage for their student film project this afternoon in the Conlon Fine Arts Center. Together they set the background, lights, camera, and check their setting s throughout.
This afternoon, students enrolled in the Mount Wachusett Community College (MWCC) Upward Bound Math & Science (UBMS) Summer Academy, played a game of Capture the Flag in the Fitchburg State University quad. Fitchburg State University Campus is hosting the program which is administered by MWCC to serve high school students from Athol, Winchendon, and Gardner to prepare them for college and STEM careers.

Recent business administration graduate Devin Tormey '22, who was featured in March for the murals she painted as part of her her capstone thesis project for the university’s Honors Program, was recently interviewed on wildly popular Matty in the Morning show on Kiss 108 Boston Radio. Devin spoke about her mural project, her experiences at Fitchburg State University, and her latest art/business venture as a Wedding Painter.

This morning, the 5th Fitchburg State University Police Program's Recruit Officer Course (ROC) had their MPTC-required 8 week PT Assessment at a local track. They had to hit the 40% Cooper standards for their age and gender for sit ups, push-ups, a mile and a half run, and a 300 meter sprint. These photos are of the timed mile and a half run.

This day-long event is designed for Police, First Responders, Emergency Service providers, Department of Mental Health, NAMI, Justice System partners, and other interested parties to come together and focus on mental health issues in their respective professions.

Today, the 5th Fitchburg State University Police Program's Recruit Officer Course (ROC) culminated their three day speed radar course with some practical application. Initially, Recruit Officers raced against each other for bragging rights. Afterward, with the help of staff drivers, they were given the opportunity to practice with the speed-range/range devices on Rindge Rd. right outside the McKay Arts Academy.
