Today, the 7th Fitchburg State University Police Program's Recruit Officer Course (ROC), received ALEC (Autism and Law Enforcement Education Coalition) from Officer G.  Candow. ALEC is a training program taught by police officers and fire fighters who have children who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). These first responders share their personal experiences about ASD to help educate other first responders on how to better serve all citizens. Officer Candow has traveled all over the country teaching officers about ASD.
