Last week, the Exercise and Sports Science department gathered in Hammond Main Lounge for their annual Internship Presentations & Awards luncheon. It was an afternoon of showcasing hard work, professional growth, and the future of the field.
This year’s ceremony held special meaning as we presented the inaugural Jeff Godin Memorial Scholarship. We were honored to have Jeff’s sister, Karyn Sousa, join us to present this award, ensuring Jeff’s legacy of excellence and passion continues to inspire our students.
Jeffrey Godin was a dedicated Professor of Exercise Science at Fitchburg State University for 25 years, where he led the strength and conditioning program for athletes that shaped countless students' lives.
