Communications Media Professor Kevin McCarthy met with students who will be taking part in our Study Abroad opportunity; Rhetoric in Greece and Travelogue Filmmaking which departs campus on June 7th. Today Professor McCarthy discussed media tools, storage, and logging procedures - the planning that needs to happen with travelogue filmmaking.

Our Adult Learning in the Fitchburg Area (ALFA) program celebrated it's 20th Anniversary with a celebration in the Falcon Hub. Associate Dean,
School of Graduate, Online, and Continuing Education Dr. Lisa Moison and University President Dr. Richard Lapidus welcomed guests to the event. The celebration included a lunch buffet with the bluesy folk fusion of five-piece band Tattoo, awards and recognitions followed by a mini-sampling of current ALFA courses led by our community instructors. performance by Tattoo There is also a Community Gallery installation at the Fitchburg Art Museum through May 27. ALFA is a lifelong learning institute that serves adult learners in Fitchburg and the surrounding communities.

At the culmination of today's Faculty and Librarian Development Day, the Celebration for Faculty and Librarian Excellence was held in the Holmes Dining Complex. As the faculty wrapped up their sessions, Emeriti Faculty were welcomed to reconnect prior to the event.
Today was the first day of Physical Training (PT) for the 7th Fitchburg State University Police Program's Recruit Officer Course (ROC). Lead PT instructor Eric Bailey introduced the class to the first phase of PT, along with PT instructor Dr. Jess Alsup of our Exercise Sports Science Program (EXSS). We would like to thank State Representative Mike Kushmerek for coming out this morning to meet and work out with the 7th. Dean Sara Levine also stopped by the field to show support.
