University Welcome Center Opening Reception, May 11, 2022

Richard Toomey, Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management, invited the entire campus community to celebrate the completion of the renovation work for the new University Welcome Center in the Anthony Student Services Building on Wednesday, May 11.  Colleagues and campus partners were encouraged  to visit and view our new shared space intended to welcome all guests to the campus.

Around Campus - 16mm Film Editing

Students in Professor Robert Harris' Film Styles Genres & Movements course put the final touches on the 16mm film. The course blends theoretical and historical concepts associated with a selected genre, style or movement within a production course setting. Students study a selected genre, style or movement, and then, in groups, produce a short film or digital video, based within the historical and/or theoretical framework that the class has studied. Yesterday was an Ice Cream Social with make your own sundaes. Future grab and goes include a French fry bar, and popcorn with assorted seasonings.

First Day of Finals - Hot Dogs & Ice Cream

As students embark on their first day of final exams, the Office of Student Development set up a grill and gave away hot dogs to mark the day. Not to be outdone, Counseling Services offered ice cream sundaes. Check out the photos!

Today at the North Street Bistro was the fourth, and last, Staff Appreciation event which was held simultaneously at the McKay Café. Staff were treated to a beverage, and a snack, with their tickets entered into a prize raffle.

Around Campus - Philanthropy & "Phun"

Housing and Residential Services held it's 1st Annual Lighten Your Load event in the Falcon Hub. Students were asked to donate any items that they may not want to bring back home; clothing that they won't wear but someone else may, or any non-perishable food items that they don't plan on eating before the end of the semester. With games,  snacks, drinks, and a DJ for  entertainment, students were eager to help out. Anyone who donated were entered into a raffle for a $50.00 Amazon gift card.
