This morning, our Center for Professional Studies Associate Dean Lisa Moison and Recreation Services Director Bradley Cohrs welcomed members of our Adult Learning in the Fitchburg Area (ALFA) program cohort to our Recreation Center for the onset of a new program. This winter, "ALFAs" are now able to use the indoor track from November 1st to April 1st. The goal is to give them a safe and warm place to walk indoors for the winter months.
The Welcome Event at the Center allowed participants a tour of the indoor track, have light refreshments, recieve a university t-shirt, and then an inaugural walk with students, staff, and other "ALFAs." The goal is to create a space where the cohort, and future cohorts, can walk safely in the winter and socialize with our educational community.
