Around Campus - Ecology Lab

Students in Environmental and Earth Science Professor Christopher Picone's Ecology Lab conduct a week long experiment revolving around the tomato horn worm. The subject is weighed, fed a certain amount of natural or manmade food, as well as their waste. The students study the dynamic relationships between organisms and their environment through field and laboratory work emphasizing problem identification, formulation of hypotheses, data collection, and analysis and interpretation of results in terms of their biological implications.
