Alum Jim Geary ’78, a software entrepreneur with over 25 years as a CEO, Chairman, and Board Member in startup and growth stage companies focused on cybersecurity, enterprise information and data analytics. Spoke in Professor Nadimpalli Mahadev's Ethical Hacking and Software Engineering classes, stressing the boundless opportunities they will have with a Fitchburg State University education.
Afterward, the Office of Alumni and Development hosted a luncheon for Mr. Geary, students, faculty, and staff.
Mr. Geary has successfully launched and scaled multiple high growth venture and private equity funded SaaS, cloud and enterprise software companies from inception through IPO, achieving substantial returns for investors. Geary has extensive experience in global operations management, strategic business development, creating and executing winning product and go-to-market strategies, raising equity capital, and mergers and acquisitions. Geary was an early employee of RSA Security, and in 2017, he was named Forbes Magazine #1 Cloud Computing Company CEO.
