Fitchburg State University Hosts Mental Health & Law Enforcement Conference

Today, Fitchburg State University is hosting the 11th Annual  Mental Health & Law Enforcement Conference. This day-long event is designed for Police, First Responders, Emergency Service providers, Department of Mental Health, NAMI, Justice System partners, and other interested parties to come together and focus on mental health issues in their respective professions.

The day began with welcoming remarks by Commissioner of the Department of Mental Health (DMH) Brooke Doyle, M.Ed., LMHC, Upton Police Chief and President of the MA Chiefs of Police Association Michael J. Bradley, Jr. Prior to keynote speaker Brigadier General (Ret.) Rhonda Cornum, Ph. D, M.D., 49 North, Fitchburg Police Chief Ernest F. Martineau spoke on the success of General Cornum's program has had in the Fitchburg Police Department.
