Yesterday morning, The 6th Fitchburg State University Police Program's Recruit Officer Course (ROC) visited Fitchburg District Court, where they sat in on a criminal session. The program appreciates Clerk Magistrate Carol Vittorioso and Presiding Justice Christopher LoConto for allowing them to visit the court. Also appreciated was the time they both spent welcoming the Recruits, answering their questions, offering advice and breaking down what they were going to witness in the criminal session.
Judge LoConto took even more time during the court break to debrief with the class what they had just seen and heard in the session. Also, thank you to Chief Probation Officer Rebecca Ramirez and Asst. Chief of Security Brian Field for their time as well. This was an invaluable learning experience for the 6th to not only watch how the court works and what happens in a criminal session, but to also spend some quality behind the scenes time with both the Presiding Justice and the Clerk Magistrate.
Also, the program extends thanks to Chief Probation Officer Rebecca Ramirez and Asst. Chief of Security Brian Field for their time as well.
