Dealing with big data is increasingly necessary as the growth in the amount of data the human species generated via text, video, tweets, etc. over the last few years has been nothing short of remarkable; the projected growth over the next few years is even more spectacular. In fact, the 2013 IDC Digital Universe Study projects that the amount of data will increase 10-fold from 4.4 trillion GB to 44 trillion GB.

Learning shouldn’t stop just because you’re not in school anymore. I think that we always have something to learn so I'm a big fan of lifelong learning. Find something that really interests you and figure out ways to learn more about it.
You can further your studies by taking a short course which is not necessarily part of what you majored in at college. For example, if you were a History major but want to pursue a different field, like business or computer science, taking classes gives you a foundation to begin looking for entry-level jobs in that field.

Starting this summer, the graduate Counseling program is launching a new accelerated sequence for their Counseling Masters programs, concentrating in either Clinical Mental Health Counseling or School Counseling. This plan of study will allow students who start in the summer semester to complete the entire 60 credit program, including the year-long internship/practicum, in a little over two years. Students take 4 courses per term on average, which are primarily offered in the evenings, with some online and hybrid courses.
