The early bird gets the worm.
Ever hear that saying “the early bird gets the worm?" Well it’s true for course registration too! Students who register early receive the most benefits. Whether you’re looking to accelerate your degree, take a course for professional development or take a class prior to applying to a program, it’s important to get an early start. With a busy schedule including working full time, children and family, students often find that careful planning for all aspects of life is crucial.
Here are the top 5 reasons to get an early start on your summer course registration:
- Better course selection.
Seating is limited in certain classes like lab sciences and online courses. However chances are the course you’re looking for hasn’t filled up yet. Want to take the same course as your friend? Register today to get a seat.
If the class you want is full, call the Registrar’s Office at 978-665-4196 to add your name to a waitlist.
- Plan your schedule for work and child care 2 months in advance.
Wouldn’t it be nice to know what your evenings will look like in June and July? Do you need to adjust your work schedule for a class meeting? Let your boss know now when you won’t be available by providing him or her with a copy of your summer course schedule.
- Save $50 by avoiding the registration fee. Every penny counts!
Register by May 14th for a summer I class or June 25th for a summer II class.
- Schedule vacation days.
Once you know your summer course schedule, you can plan your days off. Teachers, check out our accelerated institute courses. Thinking about more beach days this summer? Take an online class, your education goes with you!
- Help us help you!
Nothing is more frustrating than having the class you need get cancelled. Graduate and Continuing Education runs courses based on current enrollments and decisions are made no later than one week prior to the start date. Waiting to register can often result in the cancellation of a class due to low enrollment and it adds $50 to the cost of registration. Don’t let that happen, be proactive and register early.
Registration is now open for all summer session I (May 26 to June 26) and summer session II (July 6 to August 7) courses. Sign up now to secure your seat, save $50 and stay on target to reach your goals. Questions about summer courses? Call Graduate and Continuing Education at 978-665-3182.
