All counseling courses will now have COUN for their course prefix, rather than the formerly used PSY prefix. This will better reflect the nature of these programs as students prepare for professional counseling careers in [Mental Health](http://www.fitchburgstate.edu/academics/graduate-programs/master-of-science-in-counseling-mental-health-counseling/) and [School Guidance](http://www.fitchburgstate.edu/academics/graduate-programs/master-of-science-in-counseling-school-guidance-counseling-5-12-or-prek-8-initial-licensure/). This change will take effect in the fall 2015 semester, and will be reflected in the [catalog](http://catalog.fitchburgstate.edu/index.php) and on the [website](http://www.fitchburgstate.edu/offices/academic-offices/gce/counseling/), as well as on the [seats list](https://web4.fitchburgstate.edu/apex/f?p=courseschedule:4), where you'll find all of our fall course offerings. **Requirements for the program have not changed; only the prefix for the courses is different.** All course names and numbers will remain the same. Here's a quick peek at our fall line-up.
