Hi, I’m Nicole Chelonis, the Coordinator of Online Accelerated Programs at Fitchburg State University.  My role here at Fitchburg State is to help faculty upload their online courses to the Blackboard system.  I also help students navigate Blackboard and become familiar with it so they feel confident that they can use it successfully to complete online courses.

It’s hard to imagine that things could have been done any other way than they are now.  We forget what life was like without the internet, computers, and cell phones.  How did people actually work?  Well we did and compared to how things are now…....you have it so easy!

Always be prepared…..isn’t that what your parents always taught you?  This is great advice that you can apply to every aspect of your life.  And it's especially important when dealing with financial decisions like returning to school.  You want to make sure all of your bases are covered and that you go into this knowing how it will affect you, as well as your family.  What better way to be prepared and organized than having a tailor made checklist to make sure all parts of your graduate school decision are covered?

To the class of 2016 Associate of Science in Nursing graduates, we’d like to send congratulations to you on your graduation! We know you’ve dealt with long hours of studying, clinical practice, balancing work, family and everything else that goes along with becoming an RN to achieve this goal.  Now as you finally take a breath and have a few moments to yourself, have you thought about what you are going to do next?  This is the best time to consider continuing your education because you don’t want to lose all of your motivation, but where do you start? We know you’re busy applying for nursing positions so we’ll keep it brief, here are the first 3 steps you should complete when considering continuing your Nursing education.

Shouldn’t you be able to try a graduate class prior to applying to a program?
