We know navigating the college application process can be difficult, especially if you are hoping to transfer. Policies can differ from school to school and there are so many options. This is why we created Transfer Tuesdays at Fitchburg State.
These sessions are specifically designed for transfer students to discuss everything; starting from filling out the application to when you decide to enroll. We will discuss application requirements, the transfer credit process, transition/advising, and how you register for courses for your first semester. Our hope is to answer any question you may have so that you feel confident about applying/enrolling at Fitchburg State. Representatives from Admissions, MassTransfer, and the Registrar will be in attendance. An optional tour immediately follows the information session so you can see what our campus offers.
One of the biggest questions for transfer students is, “Will my credits transfer into Fitchburg State?”. Our Registrar Office conducts an official credit evaluation for all admitted transfer students. This will show how your courses transfer and what you have remaining. Every transfer student has different circumstances so we discuss how this process applies to you when you attend a Transfer Tuesday. We hope to individualize your application experience so all of your needs are met before you start classes.
