Top five benefits of taking an MTEL prep workshop at Fitchburg State

  1. Top- notch Instructors - Our instructors consist of both current faculty members and seasoned professionals that are truly invested in seeing students succeed.

  2. Helpful and Practical Course Content - The format of each workshop will be a little different, but all will give you:
    • A better understanding of the content knowledge and subject matter for each area.
    • A familiarity to the test format and layout, with the opportunity to try out the various types of questions, including open response questions.
    • Strategies to succeed that will help instill a sense of confidence.
    • Study guides and practice tests.
  3. Consistency and Accountability

Whether you are a current student, a seasoned teacher, or seeking your initial MA licensure, finding time to study for a test around all of your other commitments can be incredibly difficult. These workshops provide a consistent structure with a reasonable time commitment to prepare each week.

A set and scheduled time to study each week can help prevent procrastination.

  4. Comradery and Peer Support

These tests can be stressful and overwhelming; developing a support system with others going through a similar process, can really help to quell anxiety.

Fellow classmates make great study partners! Take advantage of getting to know others getting ready to take the MTEL tests.

  5. Cost

Admitted degree-seeking Fitchburg State students may enroll in these prep workshops free of charge! This is one of the only programs in the state that offers these free to their current matriculated students.

Non-degree seeking students and community members may register for these workshops for the low price of $180 per workshop. These are some of the most affordable prep workshops around.
