Do you want to make a difference in the world? Do you want to change lives and help others achieve their full potential? Do you want to inspire and guide children so they can thrive and grow?

grad_educationThink of some of the people who have made a difference in your life and helped you to grow, intellectually and as a person; I’d bet that at least one of those people was a teacher. If you have what it takes to be a teacher and help others to achieve their potential, and you have the desire, Fitchburg State University can provide the pathway to a successful career as a teacher.

With programs leading to initial licensure in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Middle School Education, and outstanding faculty and advisors to give you the tools and the guidance to succeed, you can get there in as few as three years.

If you already hold initial licensure, we offer Professional Licensure in all three areas as well.

The M.Ed. in Curriculum & Teaching is a very popular non-licensure program for secondary teachers seeking to advance their careers, and the Master of Arts in Teaching leading to professional licensure is available in Biology, English, and History.

Other Fitchburg State programs for teachers and aspiring educators include Special Education, Reading Specialist, Occupational Education, Technology Education, Science Education, Arts Education, and Educational Leadership and Management.

Learn more from our faculty and advisors at the next Information Session, and find out why Fitchburg State University is the best place for educators to hone their skills and earn the credentials that will make a difference in your life, and the lives of your students.

Standardized tests (GRE, MAT) are not required for admission into the MEd in Curriculum and Teaching, Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership and Management, Elementary Education, Middle School Education and Special Education degree programs.
