So you stopped out of school for a while and now you're thinking about returning and you're not quite sure what your first, second or even third step should be.  Lucky for you we know exactly what you need to do and we can help you get started. Chances are you probably fall into one of the three categories below, so take a look and take that first step in returning to school. Do it for you!

 1. Are you an undergraduate student who has been out of school for two years or more?
After two years of inactivity your student record is coded as inactive, but no worries, the readmit process is an easy one! You can simply complete a “Readmission Form” found on the registrar’s website.  Once that is completed and submitted your file will be reviewed by the registrar, and if you left in good academic standing, your status will be updated to active allowing you to enroll in classes.

2. Are you a graduate student who has been out of school for one year or longer?
If you are a matriculated student who has not registered for a class for a full academic year (fall, spring and summer) you will automatically be coded as inactive.  To return to your degree program you must request entry back into the program by writing to the Dean of Graduate and Continuing Education.

3. Are you a non-degree student who hasn't registered for classes in the past two academic years?
After two years of inactivity, your student record is coded as inactive. But no worries, you simply need to call the registrar’s office at 978-665-4196 and let them know you want to start taking classes again. Your record will be reactivated on the spot!

Don’t let not knowing how to return to school be the reason that you don’t return.  The steps to take are quick and easy, and if you have any questions about returning to school feel free to email me or contact the Graduate and Continuing Education Office at 978-665-3182.
