# Fitchburg State University Police Program 7th Recruit Officer Course (ROC) - Physical Training, Day 1

Today was the first day of Physical Training (PT) for the 7th [Fitchburg State University Police Program's](https://www.fitchburgstate.edu/academics/programs/police-program-41-concentration-criminal-justice-bs) [Recruit Officer Course](https://www.mass.gov/entry-level-police-academy-training) (ROC). Lead PT instructor Eric Bailey introduced the class to the first phase of PT, along with PT instructor [Dr. Jess Alsup](https://www.fitchburgstate.edu/academics/faculty-profiles/jessica-alsup) of our [Exercise Sports Science Program (EXSS)](https://www.fitchburgstate.edu/academics/academic-schools/school-health-and-natural-sciences/exercise-and-sports-science-department). We would like to thank [State Representative Mike Kushmerek](https://malegislature.gov/Legislators/Profile/MPK1) for coming out this morning to meet and work out with the 7th. [Dean Sara Levine](https://www.fitchburgstate.edu/academics/faculty-profiles/sara-levine) also stopped by the field to show support.
