Yesterday afternoon, the Communications Media Department hosted a celebration of Professor Bob Harris's long and impactful teaching career at Fitchburg State in the Conlon Film/Video Studio. Faculty, staff, students, and alumni stopped by to wish Bob a happy retirement, with many posing for an "old-school" portrait to commemorate the event.
Many of our students learned the ropes from Professor Harris in his sections of Intro to Film & Video. Our documentary filmmakers have found him to be an honest and invaluable mentor. Professor Harris has also championed experimental filmmaking on campus and throughout the Massachusetts indie film community. You can see a short film showcase he curated from the RPM Festival now playing on the Conlon Media Wall.
